Veracode Appoints New Chief Strategy Officer and General Counsel to Accelerate Next Phase of Growth

Barkley brings a combination of cybersecurity expertise, sales leadership, and strategic execution to Veracode. His career foundation was forged alongside Veracode’s founder, Chris Wysopal, during the pioneering era of ethical hacking and application security at @Stake and Symantec, where he earned recognition for transforming complex technical challenges into tangible business results. He subsequently advanced into senior sales leadership roles at Pivotal, VMware, and Devo, building strong, customer-focused teams that align product innovation with evolving market needs—ensuring customers see clear, outcome-driven value. As Chief Strategy Officer, Barkley will lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance Veracode’s customer engagement and retention frameworks, optimize go-to-market alignment, and scale strategic programs across the organization.

With a proven track record of cross-functional leadership, Bushard will play a key role in aligning legal and risk strategy with business priorities to support Veracode’s commitment to secure and sustainable growth.​
