We just released a retro, 8–bit feel, “tower defense” video game to promote our new reporting capabilities that deliver positive, actionable reports when developers successfully use best practices to eliminate vulnerabilities. We added this positive feedback reporting to address some of the tension we see between security professionals and developers. Most of the solutions leveraged by security professionals to test developer code only offer assessments of what they did wrong. Veracode now also shows developers what they did right!

This game was a lot of fun to make and almost everyone in the office who heard about what we were doing wanted to participate. Who knew so many people wanted to work in game design :) I have to give a big shout out to Melissa @0xabad1dea for the great music she composed.
