A cyberattack reminiscent of WannaCry has spread to dozens of countries and affected thousands of organizations. The source of the attack, a ransomware called Petya or NotPetya, has paralyzed computers in critical industries, hitting organizations such as pharmaceutical giant Merck, Danish shipping company AP Moller-Maersk, a U.S. hospital chain, and the Russian energy company Rosneft.
