This morning at 10am our third Hackathon officially kicked off! Mark Kriegsman got things started by running over the agenda and rules while Chris Wysopal introduced some new programs and incentives that were quite exciting to folks. Everyone grabbed a donut and then before you knew it the gates were opened!

Some people lined up to collect a sweet Hackathon t-shirt, while others jumped right into their projects. One new feature we have for Hackathon 3 is an online hack registration system that helps track projects and build teams. Six hours into this Hackathon there are already 45 hacks listed in the system by 30+ employees! Impressive numbers for so short a time. I'm proud to say one of those 45 is a project of my own (first time hacker) and I'm hopeful I'll have something neat to share with you here on the blog when this Hackathon draws to a close!

Tomorrow we'll be going around the office chronicling day two as much as we can in photos and posting a fun visual update! Keep an eye out for it.
