| How to Build an Applications Security Training Program for Development Teams |
|
|
-
- 11AM EST, Thursday, February 9th 2012
- Registration link: Register Here
- As organizations face a number of cyber security challenges heading into 2012, a more holistic application security approach should be considered. Integrating developer training with static analysis and advanced remediation techniques will help reduce overall risk across your enterprise application portfolio, and will strengthen your security program as a result.
- Attendees will learn how to adopt three key strategies in implementing a formalized Application Security training program that meets security and software objectives.
- Three key strategies:
-
• Present latest research on enterprise security spend
-
• Discuss how to “make the case” for security initiatives
-
• Map the security ecosystem to the criticality of emerging threats

| Black Hat Technical Security Conference: Europe 2012 |
|
|
-
- March 14-16, 2012
- Event link: https://www.blackhat.com/html/bh-eu-12/bh-eu-12-briefings.html
- Every day, software developers around the world, from Bangalore to Silicon Valley, churn out millions of lines of insecure code. We used static binary analysis on thousands of applications submitted to us by large enterprises, commercial software vendors, open source projects, and software outsourcers, to create an anonymized vulnerability data set.
-
By mining this data we can answer some interesting questions. Which industries have the most secure and least secure code? What types of mistakes do developers make most often? Which languages and platforms have the apps with the most vulnerabilities? Should you be most worried of internally built apps, open source, commercial software, or outsourcers? These questions and many more will be answered as we tunnel through zero day mountain with Veracode co-founder, CTO, & CISO Chris Wysopal.
