Sam King Sam King, vice president of service delivery at Veracode, is responsible for operations of the Veracode on-demand security services, the application security research lab, as well as customer care and client services. Ms. King joined Veracode from VeriSign (formerly Guardent), where she was a key contributor in many different areas during her six-and-a-half year tenure. In the early days of Guardent, she was responsible for leading consulting engagements, product management and client relationship management. Ms. King also was responsible for new product/service development and developed the Managed Vulnerability Protection Service (MVPS), which became one of Guardent’s most successful Managed Security Services (MSS) offerings. MVPS offered enterprise customers recurring network vulnerability assessments striking the optimal balance between automated tool-based analysis and expert led vulnerability testing. At VeriSign Ms. King was primarily responsible MSS implementation and client services. She built a team of project managers, solution design architects and provisioning engineers to deploy managed security services for enterprise customers as well as a global base of channel partners reselling VeriSign security services. The MSS implementation services group is recognized as a strong competitive differentiator for VeriSign’s MSS offering in the marketplace. Prior to VeriSign, she served as Technical Team Lead for i-cube/Razorfish, where she led major technical engagements ranging from legacy system transformations of mainframe business applications into three tiered client-server architectures to development of large scale custom applications and Internet sites. Ms. King received her Masters of Science and Engineering in Computer and Information Science from University of Pennsylvania and her BS in Computer Science from University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland. |
