At Jenkins World on Aug. 31, Veracode’s Pete Chestna (@PeteChestna) will join fellow industry experts, including’s Alan Shimel and Forrester’s Robert Stroud, to address the hurdles organizations face as they try to create a DevSecOps culture.

DevSecOps adoption is on the rise – and there’s no doubt that the practice can cause some friction and hinder the development process. Recent research has shown that only 14 percent of developer and IT pros say they’re very prepared to deliver secure software at DevOps speeds. Certainly, part of the challenge is that traditional tools for testing code and assessing appsec risk weren’t built for the speed that devops testing requires – but there’s also the human element to consider.

During the panel, DevSecOps, It’s Not You, It’s Not Me, It’s We, attendees will learn how to break the cycle of segmenting security as a siloed function within a DevOps environment. If enterprises want to fully migrate from DevOps to DevSecOps, security needs to be engrained into the daily operations of all functional teams – including Dev, Operations, and QA. It’s possible to deliver secure software, fast, and this panel of experts will show you how.
