Sam King, EVP of Corporate Development

Sam King is responsible for Veracode’s product marketing efforts including GTM strategy, analyst relations, messaging, service packaging and sales enablement. Ms. King frequently represents Veracode at speaking engagements at key industry events and venues such as RSA, Gartner. Ms. King co-authors and leads the development of Veracode’s semi-annual State of Software Security reports.

Ms. King joined Veracode from VeriSign (formerly Guardent), where she was a key contributor in many different areas during her six-and-a-half year tenure. She held Product Management/Marketing responsibilities and also managed professional services and customer relationship management teams. In her Product Management role she was responsible for new product/service development and created the Managed Vulnerability Protection Service (MVPS), which became one of Guardent’s most successful Managed Security Services (MSS) offerings. At VeriSign Ms. King was also responsible for MSS implementation and client services. She built a team of project managers, solution design architects and provisioning engineers to deploy managed security services for enterprise customers as well as a global base of channel partners reselling VeriSign security services. The MSS implementation services group is recognized as a strong competitive differentiator for VeriSign’s MSS offering in the marketplace.

Prior to VeriSign, she served as Technical Team Lead for i-cube/Razorfish, where she led major technical engagements ranging from legacy system transformations of mainframe business applications into three tiered client-server architectures to development of large scale custom applications and web applications.

Ms. King received her Masters of Science and Engineering in Computer and Information Science from University of Pennsylvania and her BS in Computer Science from University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland. Ms. King was the recipient of the prestigious Charles Babbage Award given to the student with the highest academic achievement in the graduating class.
