In my recent blogs, I have announced the upcoming Veracode Community, which will provide our customers, and others looking for application security information, with resources and the ability to collaborate on best practices. I am excited to highlight one of the features that will help you integrate security into your environment to support continuous integration/continuous delivery – The Veracode Community Integrations Hub.
As a developer, you want to create secure code, not just because your security team gave you a policy to meet, but because you want to keep your organization and your customers safe. If you're a security practitioner, you want to help the developers in your organization incorporate security easier. But continuous delivery schedules make introducing a security review more and more difficult.
The Veracode Community Integrations Hub will help you bridge secure software development and faster deployment timelines with relevant resources and assistance from Veracode, and more importantly, from your peers.
The Community Integrations Hub will have:
- Links to APIs and plugins to integrate security assessments right into your environment
- Documentation with step-by-step guidance on how to integrate
- Dedicated discussion groups to get advice on best practices for automating code scanning within your development lifecycle, from Veracoders and your peers at other Veracode customers
Most importantly, we have worked with many of our customers to develop custom API scripts for their unique environments. The Community Integrations Hub will give you the opportunity to share those integration solutions and collaborate with other customers.
As a reminder, the Veracode Community, with a beta release scheduled for later in July, will be available for general release in fall 2017. If you’d like to participate in the beta, or have any questions, email me at [email protected]. This Community is for you – I want to hear from you!
