Robert P. DeRodes
EVP and CIO, The Home Depot

Robert P. (Bob) DeRodes joins Veracode with 38 years of financial, transportation and retail technology systems experience. He is currently the executive vice president and chief information officer of The Home Depot. He is responsible for all aspects of the Company’s information technology and communication systems and services. He is the driving force behind The Home Depot’s information technology transformation.

Before joining The Home Depot in 2002, Bob served as chief information officer at Delta Air Lines Inc. and was president and chief executive officer at Delta Technology, a wholly owned subsidiary of Delta Air Lines Inc. He was responsible for Delta Technology’s day-to-day global support of the airline’s operation.

Prior to joining Delta Technology in 1999, Bob served as senior technology officer at Citibank N.Y. for the Global Card Products Group, with responsibility for the development and implementation of global banking technology strategies and architecture, including a single global consumer payment processing platform.

Bob also served as president of SABRE Development Services for The SABRE Group, a subsidiary of AMR Corporation, the parent company of American Airlines. He led the software development, consulting and information services divisions for North America and Europe.

Bob held various executive positions with USAA in San Antonio, Texas, including senior vice president of Bank Operations and Technology and vice president of Financial Services Systems. He was responsible for information technology for all USAA’s financial services companies and corporate-wide systems planning and architecture.

While at Centerre Bancorporation in St. Louis, Bob held the positions of vice president of Application Systems and vice president of Strategic Planning.

Bob has served on numerous industry forums, most recently as a senior industry advisor to the Department of Homeland Security and industry advisor to the Secretary of Defense on information technology matters. He is presently an advisor to the Center for CIO Leadership.

Bob earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from St. Louis University and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Texas.
